Long Road Home
I know too well what it's like to be on the road; away from home for far too long. My home has always been with Sandy. Since the day we met in her gallery in Lahaina on Maui. It was 1985 and in an instant we were, from that moment on, home to each other. Work pilgrimages, family, and haunted callings led me on journeys that could not be avoided - always hating to leave my angel and always anxious to return to her. The road home is linked by landmarks that become more and more familiar the closer you get, until finally you are standing in the doorway. I cherish that feeling.
Sandy had to leave this world after sharing her perfect heart with me for 34 years. I am lost today without her. Now the long road home is a heartbreaking mystery journey with invisible landmarks that will hopefully lead me through that invisible veil and back home to her.
