Quickly Through The Mist
There was a time years ago when Kuerner's farm was a distant fantasy. After I'd seen the Wyeth paintings of this place I could not stop thinking about it and wanting to see it for myself up close. When I look at this walk down Kuerner's drive past the barn past the springhouse and out to the road, I remember the first time I'd ever been invited here and the surreal thrill of seeing all of it up close, hearing the stones crunching under my feet as I walked. Now it seems I've traveled it all of my life, as if there are few places I know better.
