An Artist Painting Makawao

This old building was abondoned for all the years I have been on Maui. It has been a favorite go-to subject. Finally it was torn down. Makawao is a favorite work site for lots of artists. I actually did this painting during a "Makawao Paint out". The Viewpoints gsllery, in Makawao, hosts an event every year which includes a fine opening and lots of awards donated by Makawao businesses. Prizes are awarded to favorite paintings produced by the day's effort. This painting includes one of the partcipating artists.
