Ambler Paper Boys
I had a few different paper routes while I was in Grade school ... I delivered the Philadelphia bulletin and the Ambler Gazette. I loved having a bank account. This corner store stood just down the street from "the branch" where a hundred different paper boys arrived after school to pick up there papers. Thursday had the thinnest paper for some reason and that was always a relief. I think this corner store thrived on the paper boy business alone. We had money and stopped every day for some tasty-cakes and candy, before heading off to work. I love remembering how 3 feet of snow was no factor. No one complained and the job always got done no matter how long it took.
