ACROSS the SUGAR CANE to the PAIA MILL

Driving up Baldwin Avenue out of Paia there are a few spots where the top the mill appears beautifully above the tall cane grass.   Here I pulled my truck off the road and stood in the back of it using the roof of the cab as a work table.  I was able to see across the grass to the mill.   The Mill was still in operation at the time as is illustrated by the steam billowing out and the smoke coming from the stack.
