A few days before starting this painting, I had stopped along the road to draw a few goats, into my sketch book. Here, I stopped to paint because I liked the yellow and blue boat on the cluttered background. While I was working, the goats wandered in. Having a page full of sketches came in handy. It so happened I had an upcoming show . I was calling it "Still Afloat". So I called this painting "Still a Goat". |
